A cheque for £425 has been presented to the Midlands Air Ambulance by members of the County of Salop Steam Engine Society, and the Sentinel Drivers Club following a ‘Steam Party’ organised by Russell Cook in Bridgnorth. The ‘Noggin & Natter’ event provided an opportunity for enthusiasts to enjoy a private preview of the restored vehicle and steam engines, and to raise funds for charity. Helen Hitchman, Area Fundraising Manager for the Midlands Air Ambulance said: “Keeping the Air Ambulance flying costs £5.6million each year, so we are most grateful for the money raised by the two societies”. Edward Goddard, who is Vice Chairman of both groups said: “I would like to thank everyone for their support, and especially to Russell for hosting the event”.
