The Shrewsbury Steam Rally is organised by the County of Salop Steam Engine Society Ltd, a not for profit organisation with the sole purpose of furthering the interest in, the preservation of, and the promotion of steam and vintage vehicles as something worth preserving. All funds generated by the Rally are for the sole purpose of building awareness and promoting steam engines and vintage vehicles.
The Society is always open to new members, and you don’t necessarily have to be involved in restoration to become a member. Just your enthusiasm and interest are enough.
Many of our members, however, are actively involved in restoring a vintage project of one kind or another, or they already own a vintage vehicle of some kind. So it’s a great way of learning about and maybe even getting involved with other people’s ongoing restoration projects.
The Rally simply would not be possible if it wasn’t for the efforts of our army of volunteers, something for which the Society is always very grateful. Being a member also offers you the opportunity to get involved in the organising and running of the Rally.
Please be advised that due to time restraints, we are now not able to approve new membership applications, and get membership cards to you for free admission before this year’s Rally.
