Q – How do I find Shrewsbury Steam Rally?
A – Onslow Park is situated just outside of Shrewsbury on the A458 Shrewsbury to Welshpool road. All major routes will be well signposted. Here is a map to help
Q – What time do the gates open?
A – Gates open at 9.15am (9.00am for ‘Steam Ahead’ ticket holders) and close at 6pm on both days. Visit our Tickets Page to purchase your ‘Steam Ahead’ tickets.
Q – Are day tickets for either day?
A – Yes – the day tickets are valid for either Sunday or Monday.
Q – Do we sell a two-day ticket?
A – No – day tickets are only valid for one day.
Q – Is there parking?
A – There is plenty of FREE parking available on-site at Onslow Park. Please follow the signposts to the Rally where a friendly member of the team will direct you.
Q – Can I book my camping pitch at the gate?
A – There will be no sales at the gate as all camping must be booked in advance. Visit our Camping Page to book your camping now.
Q – Can I pay by card?
A – Yes – We have now introduced card payment facilities at our public entrance, and various independent traders will quite possibly have their own facilities.
PLEASE BE ADVISED – Onslow Park is an outdoor venue with no permanent infrastructure for this kind of service, so it is advisable to still carry cash.
Q – Is there a cash machine on site?
A – No – cash machine facilities are no longer available on-site.
Q – Are dogs allowed?
A – Dogs on leads are more than welcome. Please don’t forget to Scoop the Poop and DO NOT leave them in your vehicle.
Q – Is the ground uneven?
A – Onslow Park is agricultural parkland and is therefore uneven pretty much all over. However, most visitors who have difficulty walking and/or with mobility scooters do manage to get around without too much difficulty. Suitable footwear is advisable.
Q – Are refreshments and catering available on site?
A – There is a wide range of catering outlets distributed around the venue, as well as a licensed bar within the Rally site.
Q – What time is the Grand Parade?
A – The Grand Parade starts at 2pm in the Main Arena on Sunday and Monday. The full arena timetable can also be found in the Souvenir Programme.

A – We kindly ask all Exhibitors to direct their questions to their Section Secretary. Contact information for all Section Secretaries can be found on our Contact Us page.
Q – Where can I find First Aid at the Rally?
A – The on-site First Aid service is located on the lower side of the Main Arena. If you need any assistance over the Rally weekend, please don’t hesitate to speak to a member of the Shrewsbury Steam Rally team.
Q – Are there baby changing facilities available at the Rally?
A – Baby changing facilities are available in all the disabled toilets located around the site.
Q – Is there a lost child point?
A – We provide contact number wristbands for children, for anyone who would like them. They are issued from just inside the public entrance.
